Participants are asked to register before July 25th, 2025 via online registration platform.
Please not that you can pay later. Payments should be received by August 29th, 2025.
Registration includes 4 nights in-campus accommodation, breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks, welcoming and farewell diners, social events.
For additional accommodation requests, please download and complete the accommodation form and contact the MAICh Conference Secretariat at confer@maich.gr to arrange the necessary extensions, subject to additional charges.

Cancellation policy
- Cancellation before August 29th, 2025: a full refund will apply minus an administration fee (1.5% (EU) or 3% (non-EU), depending on your credit card or bank transfer origin).
- Cancellation after August 29th, 2025: the full registration fee applies.
- Notification of cancellation should be made in writing and sent to the conference organizers at diallina@biol.uoa.gr & confer@maich.gr
Important announcement 1
Accommodation outside the venue (MAICh)
Given that the remaining accommodation options is only in simple student rooms, participants interested to stay in hotels, Airbnb or other accommodation outside the venue (MAICH), need to make their own arrangements. In this case, please try to book accommodation close to the venue. Renting a car or using a taxi will be the most convenient way to come to venue for the days of the meeting. The registration fee for participants, choosing this option is:

€ 340 (postdocs/PhD students)
This includes breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks, opening & gala dinners, and social events, in addition to access to the scientific sessions.

Registration fee waivers for PhD students
The organizing committee is pleased to offer a limited number of partial registration fee waivers (€250) to support PhD students interested in attending International Fungal Biology Conference: from Molecules to Communities in Chania, Crete, Greece.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in at least he 2nd year of their Ph.D. program at the time of application.
- The registration fee waiver is intended for students who demonstrate both academic merit and financial need. Priority will be given to students to low and middle income countiores or students with documented limited funding support.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit the following documents in a single PDF file:
- Proof of current Ph.D. student status, such as a valid student ID or enrollment certificate.
- Abstract of your research to be presented at the congress.
- A motivation letter (half a page) with justification of limited funding support.
- A brief letter of support (half a page) from your academic advisor, thesis supervisor, or department coordinator.
Deadline
- All applications must be submitted by 30 June 2025 to diallinas@biol.uoa.gr & riquelme@cicese.mx.
- Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Selected applicants will be notified via email by 15 July 2025.
